Birthday Surprises + Baby #5...

I remember FaceTiming with my sister-in-law one night while she was sitting with Tanisha and when we hung up the phone I immediately text her and said, “Is she pregnant again? I didn’t want to be rude by asking just in case!” To which she responded, “No, how rude of you to ask!!!” Followed quickly by a ton of laughter and her saying she was in fact pregnant again with baby #5.

A few months passed by and my sister shot me a text saying she wanted to buy Tanisha a gift certificate for maternity photos but that it was a surprise for her birthday. The catch was that her and another friend were going to be shopping for her outfits and literally taking her to meet me for photos without her knowing what they were doing!

My hometown of Talent, OR is filled with some of the most beautiful pear orchards. Home of the famous Harry & David pears. And my barn house sits right in the middle of a few. The perks of small town living is being able to stop on the side of the road when you see a pretty field to take pictures in and every spring the mustard seed grows in and for a few weeks before it gets tilled up it makes the perfect yellow blanket of flowers.

I wish more than anything that I had photos of any of my 4 pregnancies, so getting the opportunity to do these sessions for moms really means the world to me. Tanisha makes it look so easy and beautiful and the pregnancy saying of “you’re glowing” got taken to a whole new level with during this shoot!
